Model Montage
My first architectural model showing the instrument aimed at the rock formation.
The project was to design a “desert instrument” in Papago park. When visiting the park I was immediately drawn to a rock formation to the south east of my site. I designed the instrument to usher a visitor into the instrument and turn them around into a perfectly framed view.
As the visitor makes there way to the end the roof slats add a dynamic twist to the experience, slowly unveiling the final view.

This view shows the rock formation before you start journeying down the instrument.
The slats are angled to provide adequate shade for a visitor caught in the park in the summer but also allow the sun's warmth in the winter.
