Original Sketch
Quick section drawn while working through the details with the subcontractor.
At our office we recently bought bicycles that everyone can use to ride to the gym or go to lunch. I quickly detailed the wall with one of our welding subcontractors. We wanted to give the sheared plate a shadowline reveal and I had the idea to use standard hat channel but reverse it as the supporting structure.

Looks great and keeps the bikes out of the way. There is also no need to worry about tire marks.
This picture shows the hat channel condition ready to receive the last panels.
Here is a view of the process underway. Started at the bottom and worked up the wall.
